Nestful has no accounts and no sign-up. Your food diary is stored on your phone and is never uploaded. We cannot read it, and neither can anyone else.
Everything you enter and everything the app produces: your due date, body measurements, supplements, every meal you log, its photo thumbnail, and your whole history. This lives in the app's private storage on your device.
If you have iPhone backups enabled, this data is included in your own encrypted Apple backup, the same as any other app's data. That is Apple's mechanism, not ours — we never receive it.
The photo you take, at the moment you take it. To read your meal, the app sends that single image to Anthropic's Claude API through our server. The image is used to produce the analysis and is not stored by us. Anthropic processes it as a service provider and does not use API inputs to train its models. Nothing else about you is sent with it — no name, no email, no diary, no history.
Along with the photo we send only what the analysis needs: how many weeks along you are, and which nutrients are short so far today. These are numbers, not identity.
The app generates a random number when you first open it and sends it with each analysis. It exists for one reason: to limit how many analyses a single phone can request, so that a leaked key cannot run up our bill. It is not derived from your device, is not linked to you, and is erased when you delete the app.
Payment is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your card, your name, or your Apple ID.
We use RevenueCat to check whether a subscription is active. RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier and the purchase record from Apple. It does not receive your diary, your photos, or anything about your pregnancy.
Settings has two buttons: Export my data writes everything to a file you keep, and Delete everything erases it from the phone permanently. There is no copy anywhere for us to delete on your behalf — that is the point.
Nestful is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
If this policy changes, the date above changes with it. Material changes will be announced in the app.
